Neutering

Nine Mile Veterinary Group recommend that pets are neutered. This is for a number of reasons including avoiding unwanted pregnancies and reducing the risk of developing certain diseases later in life such as pyometra, testicular cancer and mammary tumours.

On the day of your petís operation they will be given a full health check by a vet, including the option for additional services such as a pre-anaesthetic blood test and microchip.  Your pet will also have pain-relief administered.
Most pets are then normally recovered enough to go home during the afternoon on the same day.
Most of our surgical patients are seen back by a vet or nurse for two post-op checks after their operation - this is included in the price of the operation.
