Nine Mile Veterinary Hospital
Nine Mile Veterinary Hospital was founded in 1985 and celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2010! It is located near Wokingham in Finchampstead and provides veterinary care to clients in surrounding areas, including Arborfield, Eversley and Crowthorne. From humble beginnings the practice has grown to its current status as one of only a handful of RCVS accredited tier 3 hospitals in the area. Our dedicated and enthusiastic team comprises 19 members of staff including 6 vets and 8 nurses. The hospital is staffed 24hrs a day to enable us to offer the highest standards of care to our patients. As well as seeing many emergency cases and patients requiring specialist treatment we pride ourselves on offering a warm and friendly environment to all - from a new puppy to a “senior health check” and everything in between!
The practice is excellently equipped to enable us to deal with all situations from routine procedures to complex diagnostics and surgery:
In house laboratory Enables us to obtain results on blood samples less than half an hour after the sample was taken.
Digital Radiography The most advanced form of radiography means that xrays can be developed quickly and image contrast, brightness and magnification altered to enable interpretation of subtle changes.
Ultrasound The ultrasound machine enables detailed investigation into problems such as cardiac disease, abdominal disease and problems with pregnancy.
Endoscopy The endoscope is a camera which can be passed into the chest or abdomen of a patient to visualize internal structures and obtain samples without having to resort to invasive surgery.
Electrosurgery and Surgical suction enable us to perform a wide variety of procedures from intricate eye operations to emergency abdominal surgery.
MRI - We are pleased to announce that our MRI is now fully operational at Nine Mile Vets, Finchampsted. This is an advanced imaging technique usually used for imaging of the brain and spinal cord. We can consider referrals from other vets for this so don't hesitate to get in touch.
We also have advanced monitoring equipment such as capnography, pulse oximetry, blood pressure monitoring and ECG which means that we can diagnose and monitor very subtle changes during anaesthesia and helps us with the management and diagnosis of cardiovascular problems.
The practice also offers a variety of FREE
services from our nurses from weightwatchers to free health checks for new clients. Please feel free to contact us
for more information.
